Before he became the President and CEO, Jeff was the lead driving instructor at the Buck Baker Racing School in Charlotte, NC for eleven years. With more than 10,000 laps of experience, he has shown over 50 current drivers in various series-from ARCA, Craftsman Truck, Nationwide, to Sprint Cup Series- the correct way to handle some of the toughest tracks in NASCAR.

Marketing Manager
Thomas Heavey is the marketing manager with the Buck Baker Racing School. In this role, Thomas coordinates all aspects of keeping Buck Baker a leading name in the racing school industary. Thomas was born and raised in Harrisburg, N.C., and grew up in the heart of “Stock Car Country”. He has been a huge fan of racing since a very young age. Thomas spent four years with the Unites States Coast Guard where he was a member of PACTACLET, the leading law enforcement unit of the Coast Guard. He was a boarding team member on many multi-ton drug busts and also stopped 100’s of illegal migrants from coming to the U.S. Outside of racing, he is active in Drum and Bugle Corps and High School marching band. Thomas marched three years with the World Finalist Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps.

Growing up in Darlington and Cheraw, SC and related to Buck Baker by marriage, Walt has heard numerous tales of Buck Bakers exploits on and off the track. Walt joined the school staff after cutting his racing teeth at the rough and tumble Ruby Speedway located in the sand hills of SC. Off the track, Walt enjoys taking his two German Shepherds for rides in his truck and blazing down mountain trails in kamikaze mode on his mountain bike.

Kodi was born in Springfield, IL, He moved to Houston, TX in 1991. Kodi began his racing career at the age of 3. He has raced Dwarf-cars, Sprints, Mini-Sprints, ISAC, Focus Stock Cars, and Modifieds. After racing for 17 years, he decided to move to Harrisburg, N.C. and take a position with the Buck Baker Racing School and get aquatinted with the NASCAR community. Kodi is currently racing a Legends Car in the “ Summer Shootout” at Lowes Motor Speedway. He is a very polite, hard working, determined gentleman who has enjoyed racing all of his young life.
